Ilham Aliyev cuts short his trip to Russia due to plane crash in Aktau
President Ilham Aliyev has ended his visit to Russia following the plane crash in Aktau, Trend reports.
The President immediately instructed to return.
While on board, the President issued necessary instructions to the relevant state agencies to investigate the causes of the crash and take urgent measures.
The issues related to the plane crash are under the President’s control.
Earlier, Trend reported that representatives of government authorities under the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev have traveled to Kazakhstan to investigate the causes of the airplane crash in Akta.
According to the instruction of the head of state, Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Minister of Emergency Situations, Deputy Prosecutor General, Deputy Minister of Health, Deputy Director of the State Civil Aviation Agency, Vice President of AZAL, and representatives of other specialized state bodies of Azerbaijan departed to the city of Aktau (Kazakhstan) to investigate the accident on the spot.
The Azerbaijan Airlines plane which was operating flight en Baku-Grozny route crashed today morning near Kazakhstan's Aktau city. 67 people including 5 crew members were onboard.
