Ilham Aliyev invites Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to pay state visit to Azerbaijan

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the participation in the upcoming SPECA Summit in Baku, Kazinform News Agency reports via Akorda.

In his words, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are moving to the highest level of interaction in the entire history of the two countries’ independent development, “which reflects the spirit and the character of the two nations’ relations.”

Ilham Aliyev invited Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to pay a state visit to Azerbaijan next year.

The heads of state discussed the opportunities of boosting joint work in such important areas as laying a fiber-optic line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea, increasing Kazakh oil supplies through the territory of Azerbaijan, development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route as well as implementation of promising projects in energy and RES.

Special attention was given to further strengthening of the cultural-humanitarian ties between the fraternal nations. Thus, the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan will be organized soon.
