IMF forecasts economic growth in CA except for Kyrgyzstan by yearend
BISHKEK. November 26. KAZINFORM /Arnur Rakhymbekov/ Representation Office of the International Monetary Fund in Kyrgyzstan has presented its report on economic situation in 2010.
According to the experts of the IMF, Central Asian countries except for Kyrgyzstan will observe economic growth. Koba Gvenetadze, Head of the IMF Mission in Bishkek, announced it today.
"Due to the fiscal stimulus, at the end of 2010 the economy of the region will see more growth than in oil exporting countries. We expect 6% rise in exporter countries and 3% increase in importer ones. Armenia and Georgia will experience 4.5%-5% growth while in Tajikistan this figure is expected to make 5.5%. As for Kyrgyzstan, we expect its economy will decline by 3.5% due to the riots which took place in the country in June 2010", he said.
