Implementation of anti-recessionary programmes to revive construction in Astana and Almaty: PM
ASTANA. January 27. KAZINFORM /Bauyrzhan Mukanov/ Implementation of measures within the framework of the anti-recessionary programmes will revive construction in Astana and Almaty this year. Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has made it public at the Government?s session; Kazinform reports.
?Astana and Almaty are the main cities the resources will be directed to. And we suppose, that the construction will revive and additional work force will be attracted?, K.Massimov said.
As Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov noted, a structure of the gross regional product of the capital consists of small and medium business for 60 per cent, 23 per cent ? construction and 3.5 per cent ? industry. Growth in the gross regional product amounted to about 2 per cent in 2008.
KZT 107 bln were directed to solve construction problems in Astana in 2008. KZT 48 bln out of them - to finish construction of objects through the second-tier banks, KZT 41 bln ? to repurchase apartments and over KZT 17 bln ? to deal with problems of interest holders.
?At present a speed of financial flow is very important. Over KZT 7.7 bln of credits were issued in January 2007, but in January 2009 no credits were issued. It is necessary to make up for lost time?, I.Tasmagambetov added.
