In 2014 investment in process industry increased by 70 bln tenge
In 2014 investment in the sector reached 722 billion tenge which is 11% more than in 2013. The largest part of investment has been directed to Pavlodar (125.9 billion tenge), Karaganda (114.3 billion tenge) and Atyrau (110,4 billion tenge) regions. Bank credit support for processing industry also grew by 8.2% and amounted to 948.3 billion tenge. "Damu-Ondiris" program provides investment support to small and medium-sized businesses of the sector. Lending rates are no more than 8% per annum. Partner banks involved in the financing by their own funds in a ratio of 70:30 (70% - fund, 30% - assets of participating banks). Last year under the program private entrepreneurs received credit support in the amount of 8.6 billion tenge. Priority regions including Karaganda and Pavlodar received 2,9 billion tenge and 1.2 billion tenge respectively. The program has been participated by the following banks: BTA, Kazkommertsbank, Temirbank, Alliance Bank (now both banks merged into the new Forte Bank), Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan.
