In Almaty the Kazakh Prime Minister learned the results of Damu Fund
Potential and existing entrepreneurs of all regions are in need of qualitative consulting services concerning opening, running businesses, and effective management of business. The news has been announced in Almaty during the visit of the Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov to the headquarters of DAMU Fund by the chairman of the organization Lazzat Ibragimova.
The Premier has been presented the results of the Fund and the municipal service center for entrepreneurs (ESC).
Serik Ahmetov then had a look at the implementation of "Business Road Map-2020" Program. It provides such tools to support entrepreneurs as part of the remuneration subsidies and guarantees for loans obtained from commercial banks, free training in the basics and best practices of business development, the creation of centers of competence of entrepreneurs on three levels.
Through sponsorship businesses gain the opportunity to significantly reduce their spending to repay loans. If there is insufficient collateral, the fund provides entrepreneurs with a guarantee of up to 70% on the loan amount to KZT 20 mln, and at higher amounts - up to 50%. As part of the agreements have been signed 2457 subsidy contracts and 132 contract guaranteeing loans totaling more than KZT 590 billion. In Almaty 152 entrepreneurs are getting support. In total during the program realization the entrepreneurs received grants amounting to more than KZT 31.5 billion, including the projects in Almaty - KZT 1.95 billion.
The Premier was told about "Business Advisor" free courses, teaching the basics of creating and running a business, which are held in all regional centers of Kazakhstan twice a year. Anyone who feels like it can take the courses. From the beginning the project more than 45 thousand potential and existing entrepreneurs have become trained, including Almaty - over 4500 people.
Last year, DAMU Fund started to create the infrastructure to support entrepreneurs at three levels: at the regional level - 16 ESCs. Such ESCs have already been opened in Almaty and Shymkent, soon they will start functioning in other regional centers as well as in Astana, and in 27 single-industry towns.
