'In Bloom' wins grand prix of Int'l Eurasia Film Festival

ALMATY. September 21. KAZINFORM The most prestigious film event of the year in Almaty - the International Eurasia Film Festival came to an end Friday evening.

The jury was headed by none other than legendary New Zealand director Jane Campion. "In Bloom" by Nana Ekvtimishvili and Simon Groß received the Grand Prix of the festival.

"I would like to thank Yermek Amanshayev and Gulnar Abikeyeva and the most wonderful jury for this amazing feast. I hope that the festival will develop in the future and I wish Kazakhstani film industry success," the producer of the winning movie said.

The Best Director award was given to Serik Aprymov for "Bauyr" film.
