In Milan the Kazakh delegation met with EXPO-2015 Milan management
The Kazakh delegation includes the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Commissioner of the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 Rapil Zhoshybayev, president of "National Company" EXPO-2017 in Astana " JSC Talgat Ermegiyaev and the Ambassador of our country in Italy Andrian Elemesov.
During the meetings the Kazakh side expressed its appreciation to the Government of Italy for its support for Kazakhstan to host international exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana, and invited Italian companies to take an active part in the preparation of the event. It was noted that the exhibition in Astana will make a significant contribution to the development and use of alternative energy, providing the opportunity to better representing the world's best technology and help promote energy efficiency programs.
"In Kazakhstan we are expecting active participation of Italian companies in the preparation and holding EXPO-2017 exhibition in the field of alternative energy, construction and tourism," said N.Kapparov.
In turn, Giuseppe Sala welcomed the election of Astana as a venue for EXPO-2017, noting that the upcoming arrangement will provide additional global impetus to the progress of Kazakhstan as a recognized leader in the Central Asian region. He assured that the Italian side will provide the necessary assistance in the preparation and holding of EXPO-2017, emphasizing the harmony of those EXPO-2015 "Food for the Planet, Energy for Life" in Milan and Kazakhstan's "Energy for the future."
The parties agreed on the need to work together to coordinate arranging EXPO-2015 in Milan and EXPO 2017 in Astana. The agreement has been reached on maintaining constant communication between the government and the national companies of the two countries involved in the organization of exhibitions for the rapid exchange of information on current issues in a substantive and organizational manner.
During the visit the Kazakhstan's delegation visited the construction site of EXPO-2015. As it is known, the Italian Government allocated 13.2 billion euros for EXPO in Milan. No less than 14 billion euros of direct investment are expected to be. Milan is expecting 20 million visitors during the event. The World Exhibition will be held in the suburban areas of Milan - Rho and Pero. The total demonstration area is 110 hectares. Especially for the World Expo there will be construction of a new residential town Expo Village, a number of new hotels and a large campground.
Pavilions of participating countries will be divided into four categories (A, B, C and D). Construction of a number of buildings and structures are in the plans, including Palace of Italy, which will host the official ceremonies and receptions, an arena with a capacity of 24 thousand spectators, intended for cultural and entertainment events, an amphitheater with a capacity of 8000 people. The exhibition is expected to be a major event not only for Milan and Lombardy, but for Italy as a whole, giving further impetus to the economic progress of the north-western region of the country.
