In UN hq Kazakh academician tells about development prospects of country's new technologies

YORK. October 29. KAZINFORM /Aliya Altyngazina/ The UN Headquarters in New York has held a roundtable "Future of Civilizations and Civilization Partnership Strategy" organized by the permanent representations of Kazakhstan and Russia to the UN.

Within the framework of the event leading Russian and Kazakh researchers presented the Global Forecast of Civilizations Development till 2050 and Kazakh President's book entitled "Strategy of Radical Renovation of the Global Community and Civilizations Partnership".

Chairman of the Parasat National Scientific-Technological Holding Nuraly Bekturganov revealed main theses of the President's book at the roundtable. "The global community faces big shocks and it is necessary to do everything for joining together efforts of all states and civilizations", the scientist cited the author's position. Development of advanced technologies and following political acts are among major steps in this direction.

Nuraly Bekturganov informed of the Parasat National Scientific-Technological Holding, the activity of which is focused on creation of favorable conditions, generating and commercialization of scientific and technological developments. Many studies are conducted in cooperation with the Russian specialists.

On the scientist's opinion, development of silicon technologies in Kazakhstan has great potential. The republic has big reserves of high-quality quartz - 65 mln tones - for production of metallurgical silicon of high purity. At present our country implements projects on metallurgical silicon production.
