In Uralsk Head of State meets with veterans of war in Afghanistan

URALSK. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is on a working visit to West Kazakhstan region, has met with representatives of ethnic and cultural associations, intellectuals and veterans of the war in Afghanistan.

At the event which was held in Ceremonial Palace made speeches a number of prominent figures of the region including Alexey Enichev, member of the Jewish ethno-cultural association "Lamed", Alfiya Lezhnina, chairman of the public association "Tatar cultural center", Zakaria Sisengali, chairman of the public consent of Zhanakalinskogo district, secretary of the district maslikhat. The speakers noted that our country maintains peace and stability owing to inter-ethnic accord, creates favorable conditions for small and medium sized businesses. Moreover Kazakhstan government has conducted extensive work aimed at the development of culture, education, languages. It should be noted that West Kazakhstan region is home to more than 90 ethnic groups. The regional People's Assembly of Kazakhstan has 123 members.
