Independence Day of Kazakhstan celebrated in Tashkent

The event brought together reps of Uzbek governmental bodies, for instance, Vice Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Ugulbek Rozukulov, businessmen, social figures, Kazakh diaspora, mass media as well as heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Uzbekistan.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan Boribai Zheksembin took the floor to greet those present. He noted Kazakhstan had earned a reputation of a responsible partner committed to strengthening of the regional and global security.
Speaking of priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy, achievements in its economic development and steps taken by the Government to improve welfare of the nation, B. Zheksembin stressed Kazakhstan was thankful to the countries that supported Astana's bid to play host to the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017.
Besides, the Kazakh diplomat emphasized dynamically developing economic component of the Uzbek-Kazakhstani relations. The sales turnover made $2.2 billion in 2012.
In conclusion, B. Zheksembin wished people of Uzbekistan further success in construction of the strong and economically developed state.
