India in talks with Customs Union on free trade zone

MINSK. KAZINFORM India is in talks on concluding an agreement on free trade zone with the three member states of the Customs Union: Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Manoj Kumar Bharti said at a press conference marking the country's Independence Day on 13 August.

"The work on the agreement is underway. The parties are in talks. India would like to sign the document. There are some problematic issues, however, but they are not coming from India," the diplomat said, BelTA reports.

The Ambassador expressed hope that "all the issues will be addressed by the three partners and the agreement will be signed."
