Industrial production in Kyrgyzstan increases by 5.3% - EDB
According to the results of 10 months of the current year, industrial production in Kyrgyzstan increased by 5.3% - such data are provided in the weekly review of the Eurasian Development Bank, Kabar reports.
According to analysts, the key factor in accelerating growth in the industrial sector was the slowdown in the decline in the production of basic metals. Food production is also an important driver: its contribution to the dynamics of industrial production amounted to 3.1 percentage points.
In addition, the increase in the productivity of the energy sector against the backdrop of high water levels and the production of petroleum products after the launch of new capacities had a positive impact on the indicators of the real sector of the economy, the EDB said.
