Inflation rate hits 0.1 % in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Inflation rate in Kazakhstan reached 0.1%, Kazinform learnt from the Kazakh Statistics Committee of the Economy Ministry.

As was informed earlier, the prices for food products increased by 0.2% over the past month, commercial services - 0.1%. The rate of prices for non-food products reached 100%.

Over the past month the prices for fresh vegetables increased by 2.5%, fruit - 1.6%, olive oil - 1.5%, canned fish and tea - 1%, melted cheese - 0.9%, meat products - 0.7%, confectionery, alcohol drinks- 0.6%, bakery products - 0.5%, white wheat flour and quark - 0.4%.

At the same time, the prices some products reduced. For example, prices for sugar decreased by 2.5%, poultry meat - 2.2%, eggs - 2.1%, sunflower oil - 1.6%, rice - 1.1%, beech-wheat , butter milk and potato - 0.9%, rennet cheese - 0.8% and prices for milk dropped by 0.7%.

Pharmaceuticals rose in terms of prices by 0.9%, washing and cleaning products, newspapers and periodicals - 0.6%, clothes, footwear and personal use commodities - 0.5%. Petrol prices decreased by 1.6%, diesel fuel reduced by 1.7% and liquefiable gas by 11.4%.

The price level for bathhouse services increased by 1.3%, restaurants and hotels by 1.2%, healthcare service - 0.6%, entertainment, leisure services as well as preschool education by 0.4%.

Housing and public utility services tariffs rose in by 0.3%, electricity by 0.2% and gas - 2.9% respectively.
