Influenza incidence increases in Kyrgyzstan
An increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) has been observed in Kyrgyzstan, the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance reported, Kabar reports.
According to operational data, in the 46th week of this year (Nov. 11 – 19, 2023), 4,665 cases of ARVI and 1 case of clinically diagnosed influenza were registered throughout the republic; compared to the previous week, there was an increase in the incidence of ARVI by +23.9%.
64.2% of all the cases are children under 14 years old – 2,869 cases.
Also during the reporting week, 1 COVID-19 case was registered.
