The initiative to create a Kyrgyz-German Business Council, controlled by the President of Kyrgyzstan, gives new impetus to initiatives between entrepreneurs of the two countries, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov told during the second meeting of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council, held in the city of Hamburg (Germany), Kabar reports.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers expressed gratitude to the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in the city of Hamburg, co-chairman of the German part of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council, Karl-Hugo Ernst Elerding, for supporting this meeting and noted that he highly appreciates the friendly relations and strategic partnership established between the two countries.
“We highly value our friendly relations and strategic partnership established between our countries, to strengthen which Kyrgyzstan will make all necessary efforts. We are always open to working together, implementing mutually beneficial projects, and collaborating in a wide range of areas. Today’s Kyrgyz-German business forum in the first half of the day was held in a very warm and trusting atmosphere,” he said.
Akylbek Zhaparov emphasized that in conditions of geopolitical turbulence in the world, many states are faced with a number of different challenges in the field of economics and logistics. Despite pessimistic expectations, the economy of Kyrgyzstan has demonstrated a positive trend of economic growth. At the end of 2022, the real growth rate was 107.0%. The state budget deficit for 2022 was only 1.1% of GDP. According to the recently published UN Sustainable Development Report, Kyrgyzstan has made significant progress in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals, ranking 45th out of 166 UN member states.
He noted that the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic is ready and open to productive dialogue and facilitating the implementation of any projects in all sectors of the economy and solving any problems.
In conclusion, the chairman of the Cabinet expressed confidence that the current visit to Hamburg and its results will give even greater impetus to the development of strategic partnerships and trusting relationships.
On the same day, the 56th plenary meeting of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States will be held.
It is also planned to hold a Kyrgyz-Kazakh youth forum.
