Installation of visual displays in public transport eyed in Astana

Today the installation of visual displays in public buses is being eyed in the capital. "This will significantly simplify the work allowing to forget about the so-called plates with the route number and major stops. If necessary, the driver can display the route number and whatever information the passengers need himself", noted the director of the Center of passenger transportation Bakhytzhan Ertayev. In addition, Mr. Ertayev said that surveillance cameras and a panic button had been installed in ten buses under the pilot project in the capital city. This allows to control the situation in the passenger compartment, on the road and it helps respond timely to possible threats in case of a conflict (terror attacks, thefts, etc.).
