Int'l organizations send telegrams of condolences over Almaty plane crash

ASTANA. February 1. KAZINFORM By the Presidential Decree on January 31, 2013 actions devoted to the national mourning for those killed in a plane crash near Almaty were organized in the foreign agencies of Kazakhstan.

As the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informed, the national flags were flown at half-mast. The appropriate notes informing about the tragic incident and on the opening of the books of condolences were sent to all international organizations and diplomatic missions.

UN Deputy Secretary-General Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev noted that such sorrow left a scar in hearts of Kazakh people and expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and all citizens of Kazakhstan.

Numerous notes of condolences on behalf of international organizations and diplomatic missions accredited to the Republic of Kazakhstan nave been sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. In particular, the head of the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan, Aurelia Bouchez expressed sympathy and conveyed condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
