ASTANA. January 12. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ A roundtable discussion on Inter-faith and inter-ethnic harmony: Kazakhstan's experience is being held in Astana. The event is organized by 'Patriot' Association in support of the referendum on extension of the First Kazakh President's powers till 2020.

"Kazakhstan is one of the countries of the world where the representatives of 130 nationalities and 40 confessions live in friendship and peace. The ideology and policy of our President hugely contributes to it. Due to his initiative, a unique organization - the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan - is functioning today. Astana hosts the Congress of the World and Traditional Religions Leaders. All of these demonstrate inter-ethnic and inter-faith harmony in our republic", Chairman of 'Patriot' Association Nurdaulet Tanarbergenov says.

Representatives of the mosques, Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church as well as the representatives of the city ethnic-cultural communities and tutors of the capital's universities are participating in the discussion.
