Intergovernmental Agr't on scientific-technical coop between U.S.A. and Uzbekistan signed in Tashkent

TASHKENT. December 2. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ In the course of a visit of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to Uzbekistan there was signed the Intergovernmental Agreement between Uzbekistan and the U.S.A.

On Thursday, December 2, there was signed the Intergovernmental Agreement on scientific-technical cooperation between the U.S.A. and Uzbekistan. The document was signed by U.S. Secretary of State H.Clinton and Uzbekistan First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Rustam Azimov.

As the Uzbek MFA notes, the Agreement creates legal frameworks of cooperation between states establishments, scientific research centers, higher educational institutions and private companies of the two countries in the sphere of science and technologies.

It is necessary to noted that the U.S. Secretary of State held a meeting with President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.
