Internal Affairs Ministry reports 11 victims of massacre in Aksai gorge

ASTANA. August 14. KAZINFORM The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has provided details of mass killing committed in Aksai gorge of Almaty region.

Deputy Chairman of the Criminal Police Committee under the Ministry Arman Orazaliyev told a Tuesday briefing that on August 13 the police was informed of two bodies found on the territory of cordon #4 30 km away from Tausamal settlement in Aksai gorge.

The investigation and operational group that was called to the scene discovered bodies of a 53-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man at the house of a huntsman of the Ile-Alatau National Park. The policemen also found four bodies with multiple knife wounds. The police spotted a Nissan Patrol car that belonged to the huntsman's son and a VAZ-121 car not far from the first one. The police reports stains of dark red color (blood, perhaps) in the saloon of the second car.

The employees of the National Park informed of a fire at the house of a huntsman of cordon #3 25 km away from the first scene. The police found burned bodies of two people and three more this morning.

All together the police discovered 11 bodies, 7 have already been identified.
