International Committee of Red Cross to open office in Astana

ASTANA. November 12. KAZINFORM /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ The International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) plans to open a representation office in Astana.

Yves Giovannoni, head of the ICRC's regional delegation for Central Asia, has informed of this at the press conference.

According to him, the ICRC is ready to activate its work in Kazakhstan. "We are studyin opportunities to open an office in Astana", he said.

As the Head of the ICRC's regional delegation emphasized, we hope that in the future we can discuss the issue on opening the permanent full-blooded representation with Kazakhstan's Government.
