International experts join deadly Kostenko mine explosion investigation
International experts from CIS and non-CIS countries also joined the investigation of the deadly explosion at the Kostenko mine in Karaganda region, Kazinform Agency quotes the Kazakh Emergency Situations Minister Syrym Sharipkhanov as saying.
The pretrial investigation of this incident was launched under Article 277, Part 3 of the Criminal Code - violation of safety rules during mining or construction work.
He added this explosion became one of the largest mine disasters that occurred in Kazakhstan.
The minister said coal mining resumed at five mines, including Abayskaya, Saranskaya, and Shakhtinskaya, as well as the Kuzembayev and Lenin mines.
