International Jazz Festival kicks off in Almaty

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Today annual "International jazz festival, Almaty, Kazakhstan 2015" has kicked off in Almaty.

Almaty Youth Jazz Band opened the event which took place on the stage of the State Philharmonic Society named after Zhambyl. On the stage performed the local group "Gocha Siradze, the duo from France B2S, as well as the famous Polish singer Aga Zaryan. "The festival is held for the 14th time. It is noteworthy that foreign musicians have conducted master classes for students of the jazz school. The event will run until April 13. Musical bands from Germany, Austria, Hungary and Turkey will perform at the festival. The festival is supported by the embassies of these countries and Almaty City Administration, said the director of Almaty jazz school Tagir Zaripov.
