International Scientific Congress held in Astrakhan

ASTRKHAN. September 6. KAZINFORM The II International Scientific Congress East West: Ethnic identity and traditional music heritage as the dialogue of civilizations and cultures opened in Astrakhan.

About 40 participants of the Congress from 17 countries shared the experience in preservation of cultural heritage.

According to General Consul in Astrakhan Askhat Syzdykov, culture unites nations and peoples.

"Through the music, beauty of the songs, we wise the soul of the people, its national colour. Today, we have tried to present you the life, customs and national work of the Kazakh people. I hope that the Congress will strengthen even closer cultural ties between Europe and Asia," Mr. Syzdykov added.
