International Women's Tennis Tournament begins in Astana

ASTANA. March 26. KAZINFORM The International Women's Tennis Tournament 'Astana Women' begins on March 28 in Astana, the press service of the Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan informs.

Professional tennis players aged 14 and older will participate in the tournament. The sportswomen from Uzbekistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkmenistan and Slovakia will compete for the prize fund of USD 10 thousand.

Zalina Khairutdinova and Kamila Kerimbayeva and tennis players from the other cities of the country will represent Kazakhstan.

The organizers of the event think this tournament is an important factor for development of tennis in Kazakhstan. It gives an opportunity to young tennis players to gain experience and win some points.

The tournament will last till April 3.
