Internet, cell phone service restored in Zhanaozen

ASTANA. December 21. KAZINFORM Communication lines damaged as a result of events in Zhanaozen on 16-17 December in Mangystau region have been restored; press service of Kazakh Communication and Information Ministry told Kazinform.

As earlier reported, Internet and cell phone service was not available due to damage to telecommunication networks and electricity supply disruptions caused by unrest in the region.

The situation in Zhanaozen has been stabilized. The governmental commission continues its work here.
