Iran planning to sue over Oscar winning film, Argo
NEW YORK. Marrch 17. KAZINFORM is quotting BBC. Last month's Oscars saw historical films do particularly well, including Lincoln, Argo and Zero Dark Thirty, which are all based on true stories.
Directors will argue there always has to be some poetic licence to sell their films but many disagree.
This week, Best Picture winner Argo has been criticised by the Iranian authorities over its portrayal of the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.
Tehran is now planning to mount a legal battle with Hollywood, as Tom Donkin reports.
