Iranian scientist invited for III World Religious Congress in Astana

ASTANA. April 20. KAZINFORM April 18 a meeting has been held between Special Envoy of the Kazakh President, Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Orynbai Rakhmanberdiyev with Head of the Sadra Islamic Philosophy Research Institute Seyyed Mohammed Khamenei, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Embassy in Iran.

The Senator extended an official invitation to take part in the III Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions to be held in June, 2009 in Astana. O.Rakhmanberdiyev expressed gratitude to Iran for active participation and support of the Kazakh initiative, and told about the role of the Congress in the promotion of the interfaith dialogue and tolerance. The Kazakh Senator also informed the Head of the Institute of the last achievements of Kazakhstan in the social, economic and political spheres. The Head of the Institute thanked for the invitation and highly appraised the efforts of Kazakhstan to ensure interconfessional and international accord. S.Khamenei noted that the initiative of President N.Nazarbayev to call the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions found all-round support from the Iranian people and their religious leader.
