Iraq cities hit by deadly bomb blasts

PARIS. April 19. KAZINFORM A series of deadly bomb blasts struck cities across Iraq on Thursday, killing at least 30 people and injuring many more.

The biggest attack took place in the northern city of Kirkuk where militants detonated two car bombs, the euronews reports.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility but officials said they could be the work of Al Qaeda.

Extremists also detonated roadside and car bombs in the capital Baghdad and Samarra, while a suicide bomber killed a police officer in Baquba.

Iraq is less violent than in the aftermath of the US-led invasion nine years ago, but bombings still occur on a daily basis.
