Issue on employment of oil workers dismissed in Mangystau region to be solved - U.Shukeyev

ASTANA. December 21. KAZINFORM Today within the work of the governmental commission on Zhanaozen First Vice Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev has met with representatives of Aktau oil workers dismissed from oil and gas enterprises of the region and gathered in the centre of Aktau.

The First Vice Premier reminded that the Head of State urged him to understand the causes of the existing problems, to offer the strikers all possible solutions and provide the oil workers with employment.

According to him, many service companies of the oblast as well as 20 enterprises in other regions of the country are ready to hire the strikers who want on agreed terms.

The oil workers told U.Shukeyev and other members of the governmental commission their problems and requirements. They emphasized that they are ready to consider proposals of the commission, but insisted on revision of the procedure of their dismissals, which, in their opinion, was conducted with violations.

Summing the meeting, U.Shukeyev offered the oil workers to consider proposals of the commission, make their amendments and discuss them with heads of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and KazMunayGas JSC. After this there will be held one more meeting, at which decisions on employment of the oil workers will be solved.
