Issues on struggle against human trafficking to be discussed in Almaty
ALMATY. November 23. KAZINFORM. More than 50 public organizations from five Central Asian states will take part in the regional forum of the network of the NGOs - partners of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Almaty on November 25-26. The forum is entitled as "Challenges, tendencies and opportunities in struggle against human trafficking"; The IMO's representatives in Kazakhstan told Kazinform.
The event is aimed at strengthening interaction between the leading nongovernmental organizations of Central Asia and joining efforts in fight against human trafficking in the region. The participants will exchange experience in this sphere. The preliminary results of the latest research on human trafficking in the region will be presented as well.
The International Organization for Migration was founded in 1951. Today it consists of 127 countries including Kazakhstan. The headquarters is in Geneva.
