It is a crime against humanity - Erdoğan on situation in Gaza Strip
President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared his view on the situation in the Gaza Strip at today’s 10th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Astana, Kazinform News Agency reports.
He said an unprecedented human tragedy occurs today in Palestine before the very eyes of the entire world.
“Schools, hospitals, mosques, refugee camps are bombarded in an absolutely inhumane way, and there is no exception or no justification for such behavior. In my opinion, this is the crime against humanity, which we observe in Gaza today… Türkiye has always backed and has been committed to the humanitarian principles in this crisis,” the Turkish President said.
Our priority is to ensure humanitarian ceasefire as quickly as possible, we also want to provide some kind of guarantee to end human deaths, regardless of whether it is Muslims, Christians or Jews. Of course, we want to call for peace. We have already sent 10 planes with humanitarian aid… and we will continue to send them as long as conditions allow us to do so. Actions within unity and solidarity will help us, first of all, to stop hostilities, and secondly, to establish peace as we believe in it, Erdoğan noted.
