It's very important that OSCE Summit held in Astana - M. P. de Brichambaut

ASTANA. November 30. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ The OSCE is a unique organization that aims at ensuring peace and stability on the basis of its responsibilities of all three dimensions. OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut said it at a briefing in Astana on the threshold of the OSCE Summit.

According to him there are few organizations that embrace such large area. He also noted the work that was held in Vienna to analyze documents which are to be considered by the Head of State at the Summit.

'High-level meetings are not only speeches and official events, these are a multiple bilateral meetings and contacts. These are called on to approximate positions, to reach agreement in order to find solutions to problems politically and peacefully', Marc Perrin de Brichambaut said.

'Secondly, what should be pointed out is common consideration of issues that are important for our future. It is very important that the OSCE Summit takes place in Astana. Looking on map from out here in Astana the world looks different from how it is perceived in Vienna, Paris or Washington. The view of the world has the other angels in Astana. The Organization focuses differently, shapes its view in other way. More attention is paid to Central Asia, to architecting national and state prosperity, to building new systems, etc.', the OSCE Secretary General noted.
