It was amazing, Kazakh Sholpan Gubayeva volunteered for Olympic Games
The closing ceremony of the Summer 2024 Paris Olympic Games was staged at the Stade de France on August 11. This large-scale sporting event brought together hundreds of people from all over the world. Not only athletes but also volunteers dreamt of participating in the Olympic Games. Sholpan Gubayeva of Kazakhstan also contributed to organizing the Olympics. In an interview with Kazinform News Agency she shared her great experience as a volunteer at the Olympic Games and her impressions.
Shoplan works as a global HR and business partner at a large international pharmaceutical company. A native of Uralsk is staying in France for the second year.
Her mission as a volunteer at the Rolland Garros stadium was to help organize a media zone for journalists, broadcasters and photographers. She said she was a part of the Olympic Games for more than 10 days. Sholpan highlighted on the last day of volunteering, that she saw the Kazakh gymnast, Nariman Kurbanov, at the traditional parade of champions at the Trocadero Square in Paris.
Despite unforgettable impressions, volunteering requires physical endurance since they all day long spent under the hot sun. She said the feeling that you realize your dream each minute of volunteering and being a part of such a grandiose event right now compensates for all. She said she was happy. She received a great experience since she worked in a team with people from around the world. There were volunteers from Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and France.
