ITB Berlin offers Kazakhstan a chance to discuss EXPO-2017

BERLIN. March 11. KAZINFORM The 47th world's leading travel trade show ITB 2013 that defines the key tendencies and ways of development of travel & tourism took place in Berlin on 6-10 March 2013.

ITB Berlin traditionally held at Messe Berlin complex brought together reps of tourism industry from all over the world, tour operators, air companies and so on. The trade show numbered 11 thousand display stands from more than 180 countries across the globe.

Kazakhstan's delegation at the event included heads and reps of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, "Astana EXPO-2017" Corporation, Kazakhstan Institute of Industry Development and Air Astana Company.

Our delegates had a number of meetings with their colleagues from foreign tourism agencies and mass media, discussed opportunities for cooperation in the travel market and reached agreements with potential partners.

KazNex Invest Agency made a presentation of the breakthrough investment projects in the sphere of tourism as a part of ITB Berlin.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan to Germany held a press conference on March 6 for foreign mass media and guests of the trade show. The development of travel industry and the upcoming international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana were high on the agenda at the press conference.
