IV Asian Para Games: Kazakhstan wins 8 medals

Kazakhstani swimmers - Kirill Ilyukevich, Roman Potapov and Andrey Afanasyev – competed in men’s 100-meter backstroke finals at the IV Asian Para Games in China’s Hangzhou, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Sports.kz.

Potapov finished third with a result of 1.10.25. and won a bronze medal.

This became Kazakhstan’s eight medal and fourth bronze medal in overall standings.

Earlier, Anuar Sariyev clinched a bronze medal in men’s 60kg.

Earlier, para-powerlifter David Degtyaryov won the first gold medal at the Games. Another gold medalist is para-judoka Akmaral Nauatbek..
