Izmir Mayor congratulated Kazakhstan leadership on victory of Astana to hold EXPO-2017

ISTANBUL. March 20. KAZINFORM - The Maslikhat members and entrepreneurs of South Kazakhstan region paid a visit to Turkey countries Izmir and Istanbul within the implementation of State Program of Forced Industrial Innovation Development.

The Maslikhat members and Kazakh Ambassador to Turkey Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu. Issues of regional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey, the need for greater cooperation between the regions of the two countries have been talked over at the meeting.

The Izmir Mayor congratulated the leadership and people of the fraternal country with the victory of Astana to hold the International Exhibition EXPO-2017 and informed that Izmir was a candidate for hosting the "EXPO-2020."

During the visit of the delegation of South Kazakhstan it has been agreed to organize a visit by the heads of Turkish companies, industrial and free zones of Kazakhstan, as well as to sign memorandums of cooperation.
