Jalal-Abad city of Kyrgyzstan becomes new tourist center of Organization of Turkic States

Jalal-Abad city of Kyrgyzstan has officially received the status of a tourist center of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which previously belonged to the city of Turkistan (Kazakhstan), Kabar reports.

The Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the ceremony of handing over the symbolic keys confirming the new status took place in Turkistan.

The event was attended by First Deputy Mayor of Jalal-Abad Kubanychbek Imanaliev, the head of the green economy and tourism sector of the Ministry of Economy and Trade Alibek Matiev, and mayor of Turkistan city Azimbek Pazylbekuly.

As part of the ceremony, the parties discussed the possibilities of strengthening friendly and partnership relations between the cities of Turkistan and Jalal-Abad.

Assigning a new status to Jalal-Abad emphasizes its importance in the development of tourism within the OTS and opens up new prospects for promoting the region.

It is worth reminding Turkistan was recognized as the spiritual capital of the Turkic world.
