Janibek Alimkhanuly’s next IBF fight announced
Kazakh boxer Janibek Alimkhanuly (15-0, 10 KOs) will hold his next fight with mandatory challenger Andrei Mikhailovich (21-0, 13 KOs) of New Zealand, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.
According No Limit Boxing, the promotional company that won the bidding for the fight, it is set to take place on October 4 in Sydney, Australia. It will be broadcasted in the United States by ESPN+. Only the IBF world title will be up for grabs. Previously, the Kazakh boxer failed to shed the weight, as a result of which the WBO cancelled the bout with Mikhailovich.
Janibek Alimkhanuly and Andrei Mikhailovich were supposed to fight back in July, but the Kazakh athlete was hospitalized due to dehydration after failed attempt to lose weight.
