Japan allocates funds for realization of three social projects in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. March 17. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Japan plans to allocate grants to the amount if USD 260 thousand for realization of three social projects in Kazakhstan within the official program "Roots of Grass".
Corresponding contracts were signed today by Japanese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Yuzo Harada and representatives of non-governmental organizations of Kazakhstan.
Thus, the Japanese side will allocate USD 80 728 for purchasing agricultural equipment to create protective forest plantations on the dried Aral Sea bed. Another USD 100 thousand is planned to be provided for reconstruction and extension of premises for children with disabilities from "Samal" rehabilitation center. USD 86 181 will be allocated for repair of a hospital in Karaganda region.
"We are sure that Japan is able to overcome the difficulties it faces today, in this regard, we render this assistance," the Ambassador said.
