Japan highly appraises Kazakhstan?s peace-building efforts

KAZINFORM April 21-22 in Tokyo Special Envoy of Kazakhstan Senate Chairman, Chairman of the Senate Akhan Bizhanov had meetings with President of the House of Councillors of Japanese Parliament Satsuki Eda and the leadership of the Japanese Association of Shintoistic Shrines and the Japanese Federation of Buddhism, Kazakh MFA?s press service reported.

In the course of the meeting Kazakhstani Parliament representative extended the Japanese party an official invitation for the III World Religions Congress, and recounted the basic principles of Kazakhstan President?s development policy. Having demonstrated the successful model of interethnic and interreligious accord Kazakhstan has turned into a venue of the unique Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions which has received world recognition as an effective platform of promotion of peace and accord among the representatives of world religions, Akhan Bizhanov said at the meeting. The Japanese political and religious officials spoke about their high assessment of Kazakhstan?s contribution to peace-building and consolidation of security, and wished Kazakhstan?s authority success in arrangement of this meaningful event.
