Japan political leaders hit streets for general election
TOKYO. November 17. KAZINFORM Japanese political party leaders hit the streets Saturday to promote their key policies, a day after the lower house was dissolved for next month's general election.

"A historic battle has been launched," Shinzo Abe, head of the Liberal Democratic Party said in a speech on a Kumamoto street, Kyodo reports.
Abe, who is seeking to come back as Japan's prime minister, denounced the government led by the Democratic Party of Japan, which has held office since 2009, and said that the Dec. 16 lower house election is a contest to bring back a strong country.
