Japan to hold upper house election on July 10

TOKYO. KAZINFORM - The Cabinet of Prime Minister Fumio Kishida decided Wednesday to hold an upper house election on July 10, with official campaigning to start on June 22, Kyodo reports.

Kishida is expected to hold a press conference later in the day to talk up his achievements as prime minister and express his resolve to lead the governing coalition to victory in the House of Councillors election.
