ASTANA. March 16. KAZINFORM /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ The analysis of background radiation in Kazakhstan is held daily mainly because of the tragedy at Japanese atomic power station 'Fukushima-1'. Director of RSE 'Kazhydromet' Bayan Sazanova has said today in the interview with journalists that the background radiation is not increased in Kazakhstan.

'According to our weather stations, the background radiation has not been increased in Kazakhstan. Air masses from Japan do not affect us. The nuclear cloud that is formed in Japan will not reach Kazakhstan', she said.

She also noted that tragedy was certainly to have an impact on the weather all over the world. 'Although, we cannot be one hundred percent sure that it will not affect us because it depends on the circulation of the air in the atmosphere and on global changes', she added.
