Jermaine Jackson writes memoir on brother Michael

BEIJING. March 17. KAZINFORM U.S. singer Jermaine Jackson is writing a memoir about his brother, the late pop icon Michael Jackson, according to media reports Thursday; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.

The book, titled "You Are Not Alone: Through a Brother's Eyes", is set for release in fall 2011 by Touchstone. And it promises to give an all-round tour of Jackson's rising to fame, molestation trial, complex relationships with parents, and the circumstances of his death.

"We don't want Michael's life - or death - to be an eternal mystery," Jermaine said in a release. "This is the truth as we know it. I have read so much about what people think they know about Michael, but this is about what really happened. I hope to make sense of the occasions when the outside world struggled to understand my brother's world."

"It is a frank, but sophisticated examination of the human, not the legend, with revealing insights and no subject off limits," publisher Touchstone said.

In a statement, Jermaine Jackson noted the upcoming trial of Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray and said that his family does not want what is said in court to remain the final word on the life of his mega-star brother; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
