Jerusalem resident attempts to ram Jimmy Carter's convoy

MOSCOW. October 22. KAZINFORM An Arab resident of East Jerusalem on Thursday evening attempted to drive his car into the convoy carrying former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, the Jerusalem Post reported. Kazinform refered to RIA Novosti.

Carter was travelling in Jerusalem neighborhood together with some other members of the Elders, a group of retired world leaders, who are currently in the Middle East on a second peace mission to the region.

The collision was prevented by timely and efficient actions of the security personnel.

"Security personnel drew their weapons on the driver and police forces were called to the scene," Jerusalem Post said.
