Job fair for disabled kicks off in Karaganda
"In order to implement the President's address "Kazakhstan's way - 2050: common goal, common interests, common future", Nur Otan has initiated the project called "Future without barriers". Today we are conducting a specialized job fair for people with disabilities", said Erlan Sardarov, head of Nur Otan's public reception.
According to the organizers about 25 employers have provided vacancies for disabled persons. In addition the job fair attendees can also get experts' consultation.
Moreover, today Bauyrzhan Abdishev, Akim of Karaganda region, has chaired a meeting on improving the life quality of disabled persons.
According to the regional directorate of employment and social programs there are about 55 thousand of disabled persons in Karaganda region. 12,637 people with disabilities have been provided with jobs. Last year regional employment services hired 640 disabled people, more than 200 of whom performed community services and 100 got jobs under "Employment Roadmap" program.
