Jordan cops on trial over citizen’s death
AMMAN. November 12. KAZINFORM. A Jordanian prosecutor on Wednesday referred five policemen to court on charges of involvement in the death of a citizen, judicial sources said; Kazinform refers to Arab News.
Minister of State for Information Affairs and Communication Nabil Sharif confirmed that investigations into the incident were concluded Tuesday and the case was referred to the police court.
Saddam Al-Saud was buried on Monday at an east Amman suburb amid violent scenes that left at least six policemen injured.
Al-Saud's relatives claimed he was tortured after he was arrested a month ago following a quarrel at a commercial center; Kazinform cites Arab News.
