The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in Jordan has launched a national blockchain technology network, MODEE DLT, in partnership with Jordanian blockchain company Blockexe, to enhance trust and transparency in government services, Petra reports.

The Ministry announced that MODEE DLT, a cornerstone of Jordan's digital transformation, has been integrated with the "Sanad" system to provide a decentralized and verifiable digital record of all Sanad transactions.

This initiative aims to bolster digital trust and streamline the integration of e-government services, making them more transparent, efficient, and competitive both locally and internationally.

The implementation of blockchain technology in Jordan’s government sector is a significant milestone aligned with the Jordanian Digital Transformation Strategy (2021-2025). This strategy underscores the government's commitment to advancing its digital infrastructure and technological capabilities.

Blockchain technology, known for its accuracy, security, and confidentiality, ensures that transaction data and user information remain private and protected. Its decentralized nature prevents control or manipulation by any single entity, thereby enhancing security and transparency.

The Ministry emphasized that the use of MODEE DLT across various government sectors will foster a reliable digital environment, supporting the Kingdom's broader goals of achieving a robust and trustworthy digital economy.
